The volunteers from the project ENVIE, from partner Parcours le Monde, continue to support MONTIS. Here they give their testimony about the work carried out during the second week of February.

“Segunda-feira, dia 12 de fevereiro, um dia calmo no viveiro, durante o qual colámos as etiquetas feitas na semana anterior nos vasos das espécies de árvores correspondentes e contámo-las para facilitar o inventário. Mais tarde, carregámos a carrinha com as árvores que em breve serão plantadas no Baldio de Carvalhais e as 200 estacas pintadas”
“Monday, 12 th, was a quiet day at the nursery in which we taped the labels made the previous week on the pots of the corresponding tree species, and we counted them for easier inventory. Later, we loaded the van with the trees that will soon be planted at "Baldio de Carvalhais" and the 200 painted stakes.”
“Na terça-feira, tivemos o dia de folga neste feriado facultativo.”
“For Tuesday, we had the day off on this optional holiday.”
“Na quarta-feira, 14 de fevereiro, fomos plantar árvores no Baldio de Carvalhais, «no sector MONTIS», com outros voluntários e pessoas próximas da MONTIS. Para além de plantarmos cerca de 200 plantas, replantámos plantas antigas e limpámos um caminho para criar uma área mais óbvia para cavar (isto significa: criar uma área de clareira que possa vir a ser plantada).”
“On Wednesday, February 14 th, we went to plant trees on Baldio de Carvalhais in the MONTIS sector with other volunteers and people close to MONTIS. As well as planting around 200 plants, we replanted old plants and cleared a path to create a more obvious area to dig (this means create a clearing area that can be planted).”
“Quinta-feira de manhã tivemos uma reunião. À tarde, o Antoine e o Léo foram ao viveiro da MONTIS em Vouzela para selecionar e armazenar corretamente as plantas. E para uma melhor organização, substituíram os nomes das espécies das árvores. Enquanto a Lomane tinha uma reunião por vídeo com a Teresa para adaptar as tarefas ao seu problema de tendinite”
“Thursday morning we had a meeting. In the afternoon, Antoine and Léo went to the MONTIS nursery in Vouzela to sort and properly store the plants. And for better organization, they replaced the names of the tree species. While Lomane had a video meeting with Teresa to have tasks adapted to her tendinitis problems.”
“Na sexta-feira, 16 de fevereiro, voltámos ao mesmo local de quarta-feira, desta vez com mais uma pessoa. No entanto, a carrinha MONTIS teve um problema no caminho, pelo que não pudemos levar todas as plantas que estavam previstas para esse dia. Apesar de tudo, fizemos um bom trabalho.”
“On Friday, February 16th, we returned to the same place as on Wednesday, this time with one more person. However, the MONTIS van encountered a problem along the way, so we were not able to take with us all the plants that were planned for that day. Despite everything, we did a good job.
“Por outro lado, a Lomane tinha a tarefa de verificar o website da MONTIS e comunicar problemas como incoerências com a versão em inglês.”
“On the other hand, Lomane had the task of checking the MONTIS website and reporting problems such as inconsistencies with the English side.”
