| A vista da zona onde trabalhámos esta semana. Está cada vez mais ensolarado / The view from the area where we worked this week. It’s getting more and more sunny ! |
Os voluntários de longa duração da MONTIS, Hugo Laviron, Gabriel, Baptiste e Hugo Guastalla (conhecidos como "GiestaHappyBees"), o Youn - voluntário de longa duração da MONTIS através do projeto Do It 5: Develop Opportunities (through) Intercultural Travel, promovido pela associação parceira, Parcours le Monde Grand Ouest - e a Ester, voluntária de curta duração, deixam-nos o seu testemunho da semana de 17 a 23 de março. Eles também fizeram a tradução para português dos seus textos, uma vez que estão a fazer um esforço para aprender o idioma. Nota: nesta semana foram também acompanhados pelo Cedric, o estagiário alemão que além do trabalho no terreno tem também apoiado a MONTIS em SIG e uso do drone.
MONTIS long-term volunteers Hugo Laviron, Gabriel, Baptiste and Hugo Guastalla (known as “GiestaHappyBees”), Youn - a MONTIS long-term volunteer through the project Do It 5: Develop Opportunities (through) Intercultural Travel, promoted by our partner association, Parcours le Monde Grand Ouest - and Ester, a short-term volunteer, give us their report of the week from March 17 to 23. They have also translated their texts into Portuguese, as they are making an effort to learn the language. Note: this week they were also joined by Cedric, the German intern that besides the work in field is also supporting MONTIS in GIS and the drone.
Na segunda-feira, não trabalhámos porque tivemos um dia livre devido ao fim de semana passado !
On Monday we didn’t work as we had a free day because of last week-end !
Na terça-feira, terminámos todas as plantas que tínhamos lá em cima ao início da tarde ! Passámos o fim do dia só a limpar e a cavar buracos.
On Tuesday, we finished all the plants that we had up there at the beginning of the afternoon ! We spent the end of the day only cleaning and digging holes.
Na quarta-feira, a Inês veio cá a casa para levar algumas plantas para cima, e pudemos recomeçar a plantar, limpar e cavar ao mesmo tempo !
On Wednesday, Ines came to the house to take some plants all the way up, and we could start planting again, as well as cleaning and digging at the same time !
A sexta-feira (e o sábado) estava muita chuva, por isso tirámos a sexta-feira e o sábado como fim de semana e trabalhámos no domingo, porque o tempo estava muito melhor e permitiu-nos ser eficientes e estar confortáveis !
Friday (and Saturday) was very very rainy so we took Friday and Saturday as a weekend, and we worked on Sunday as the weather was way better and allowed us to be efficient and comfortable !
No domingo, trabalhámos apenas nós os quatro e a Ester. Foi o primeiro dia de sol desde há muito tempo e gostámos muito de trabalhar!
On Sunday we worked just the four of us and Ester. It was the first sunny day in a long time so we really enjoyed working !
Métricas/Metrics:
Na terça, começámos a limpar uma área grande (200 m2) para plantar à tarde, durante a qual plantámos 65 árvores/arbustos.
Quarta, finalizámos a plantação na área livre restante de terça-feira. Conseguimos plantar 129 plantas.
Na quinta, plantámos 96 árvores e planeámos limpar mais espaço no domingo !
Por fim, no domingo só trabalhámos os quatro e a Ester. Conseguimos desmatar 100 m2 e plantar 117 árvores.
On Tuesday, we started to clear a lot of space (200 m2) in order to plant in the afternoon, during which we planted 65 trees/shrubs.
Wednesday, we finished planting on the remaining cleared space of Tuesday. We managed to plant 129 plants.
On Thursday, we planted 96 trees and planned to clean some more space on Sunday !
Finally, on Sunday we worked just the four of us and Ester. We managed to clear 100 m2 and to plant 117 trees.
