Youn: o relatório da semana 24/03 a 28/03

O Youn, voluntário de longa duração da MONTIS através do projeto Do It 5: Develop Opportunities (through) Intercultural Travel, promovido pela associação parceira, Parcours le Monde Grand Ouest, deixa-nos o seu testemunho da semana de 24 a 28 de março. Ele também fez a tradução para português dos seus textos, uma vez que está a fazer um esforço para aprender o idioma. Nota: nos dias em que foi ao baldio de Carvalhais plantar, integrou a equipa dos "GiestaHappyBees", também acompanhados pelo Cedric, o estagiário alemão que além do trabalho no terreno tem também apoiado a MONTIS em SIG e uso do drone, e ainda no início da semana pela Ester, voluntária de curta duração.

Youn, a long-term MONTIS volunteer through the Do It 5: Develop Opportunities (through) Intercultural Travel project, promoted by our partner association, Parcours le Monde Grand Ouest, gives us his account of the week of March 24-28. He has also translated his texts into Portuguese, as he is making an effort to learn the language. Note: on the days he went to the Baldio de Carvalhais common land to plant, he was part of the “GiestaHappyBees” team, also accompanied by Cedric, the German trainee who, as well as working in the field, has also been supporting MONTIS with GIS and drone use, and at the beginning of the week by Ester, a short-term volunteer.

No início da semana, tive que me mudar para Vouzela, o que significou que o meu horário se tornou mais variado entre os dias em que tive que sair para o campo para plantar e os dias em que fiquei em Vouzela para fazer o inventário do escritório e reorganizar certos materiais.

At the beginning of the week I had to move to Vouzela, which meant that my schedule became more varied between the days when I had to go out into the field to plant and the days when I stayed in Vouzela to make the inventory of the office and reorganise certain materials.

Na terça-feira, comecei a fazer o inventário. Havia muitos produtos antigos não utilizados. Também encontrei várias coisas que poderiam ser usadas em atividades futuras, como raquetes de pingue-pongue, baralhos de cartas, tubos de tinta e um guia de identificação de cogumelos.

On Tuesday I started to take inventory, there were a lot of old unused products. I also found a number of things that could be used for future activities, such as ping pong rackets, decks of cards, tubes of paint and a mushroom identification guide.

Na quarta e quinta-feira, pude voltar à propriedade de Carvalhais, onde plantei um total de 43 árvores ao longo dos dois dias. Gostei de estar de volta com o grupo e de trabalhar na natureza.

On Wednesday and Thursday I was able to return to the Carvalhais estate, where I planted a total of 43 trees over the two days. I enjoyed being back with the group and working in nature.

E, por fim, na sexta-feira, continuei o inventário e também pude ajudar a preparar as plantas para atividades futuras, acompanhando a Inês até ao viveiro.

And finally on Friday I continued the inventory and was also able to help prepare the plants for future activities by accompanying Inês to the nursery.
